The Sultanate represented by Ministry of Tourism will take part in the four-day London World Travel Market (WTM).
The World Travel Market is an annual event in tourism industry that is organised with the participation of 46,000 travel agencies, from 187 countries across the world.

The Sultanate's delegation in the WTM will be led by Mohammed bin Hamoud Al Toobi, undersecretary of Ministry of Tourism.
A number of representatives from various travel agencies in the Sultanate and a representative of Oman Air will also be in the delegation. During the departure, Al Toobi said: "The Sultanate's participation in World Travel Market is considered as an important one to boost tourism in the Sultanate."

"We participated in Berlin Travel Fair, with a pavilion of 250 square metre comprising 25 travel agencies in addition to Oman Air. It was a huge success," he said.

Al Toobi said that the Sultanate always pays attention to the participation in this annual event in London as it is organised in
the UK, which is considered amongst the world's largest tourism market.

"This market is a good opportunity for the companies working in travel industry to meet together and exchange experience in the fields of marketing, service promotion and tourism potentialities," he said. "On the sidelines of the event, the ministry will sponsor the World's Responsible Tourism Awards (Best Environment in Tourism Sector) that will last for one day in WTM through a programme that encourages dialogue, discussion," he said.

"More work on highlighting the studies on the travel issues, as well as, presenting the best practices and achieving the participation of all the industry sectors will also be carried out at the WTM," Al Toobi added.
